Person in Charge (PIC)– Intellectual Disability Services Cavan
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Person in Charge (PIC)
to lead residential services supporting people with an intellectual disability.
This is a key leadership role where you will oversee designated centres, support and develop teams, and ensure residents are empowered to live with dignity, choice and independence. The PIC plays a central role in maintaining high standards of care, regulatory compliance and continuous service improvement.
What You’ll Do
Lead the day‑to‑day operation of designated residential services in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007
Ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care is consistently delivered
Maintain full compliance with regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements
Provide leadership, supervision and support to staff, promoting a positive and professional team culture
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and external stakeholders
Oversee care planning, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring
Nursing Degree
with NMBI registration (or eligibility) or
Level 8 Degree in Social Care
Minimum 3 years’ management experience within the health or social care sector
Recognised management qualification (minimum Level 6 NFQ)
Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, person‑centred planning and clinical governance
Experience working with people with an intellectual disability
Eligibility to work in Ireland
