General Operative, Cavan

Rosderra Irish Meats Group is the largest pork processing company in Ireland. We operate two state-of-the-art slaughtering and processing facilities at Edenderry, Co. Offaly and Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. In addition, we have a Cold store facility in Clara, Co. Offaly, a Pork-Curing facility in Jamestown Co. Leitrim, and a Cooked Meats facility in Stradone, Co. Cavan. We are currently recruiting for general operatives at our Stradone Facility Full training will be provided however the successful candidates must be proactive, good communications, English speaking, with basic IT skills and a willingness to learn with experience and understanding of food safety, quality and hygiene within a food manufacturing facility. This role will involve packing and loading of product, traceability records, working in a high-care chilled environment, order picking, hygiene and other functions across the cooked meats factory. The successful candidates will work as part of the factory processing team fulfilling production targets on a daily and weekly basis. This role is essential for delivering high quality products to our customers by utilising employees skill base. Successful candidates will have familiarity with Retort cooking and cooling processes Weight up of dry ingredients Finished goods packing High Risk packing requiring knife skills Order packing and Picking Hygiene&clean as you go Work on own initiative and as part of a team. Understand product/customer specification and possess the ability to meet these specifications while managing high volumes against production targets/KPIs across the low risk and high-risk processes, whilst maintaining strict hygiene standards.
