The Role The ESG Systems and Reporting Lead will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimisation of systems and processes that enable accurate, consistent and transparent Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting across the organisation.
This role will drive the delivery of high-quality ESG data and disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and evolving stakeholder expectations. Acting as a key link between Sustainability, Finance, IT and wider business functions, the role will embed robust data governance, streamline reporting workflows, and support the organisation in delivering its sustainability strategy through data-driven insights.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing ESG data integrity, improving reporting efficiency, and positioning the organisation to meet current and future ESG reporting obligations with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Track and monitor the organisation’s performance against stated ESG objectives outlined in the “Pathway to a Better Future” ESG Strategy.
Ensure compliance and ongoing progress with sustainability reporting frameworks driven by regulatory and customer requirements, including:
Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
Carbon Accounting and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) reporting
Sustainable Dairy Partnership (SDP)
Origin Green reporting
Implement and coordinate an ESG data management system, ensuring robust data collection, analysis and reporting across the Group.
Work collaboratively within the Group Sustainability Team to deliver accurate, timely and high-quality ESG reporting outputs
Qualifications and Experience
Experience working in a financial, environmental, engineering or quality-related role.
Prior exposure to financial, environmental or quality management systems and reporting is desirable.
Demonstrated capability in handling structured reporting processes and system-based data management
A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Quality Management.
Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to support reporting and data analysis.
Proven experience with reporting packages such as Power BI is desirable.
Previous experience in the food manufacturing or Agri-sector is desirable but not essential.
