Location: CHO 1 Cavan, CDNT, Hillside, Rathcorrick, Cavan.

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time. Contract Hours: 35 hours per week (1.0 WTE). Salary Scale:€42,384 to €61,945 pro rata per annum. Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post: Enable Ireland delivers children's services through the Children's Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model. The post holder will provide a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0–18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework, including assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, and service development. Services will be delivered family-centred across diverse settings such as clinics, preschools, schools, children's homes, and community settings.

Responsibilities

Assessment and intervention for young people (0–18 years) and their families.

Clinical supervision and ongoing service development within an interdisciplinary team.

Deliver services in a family-centred approach across clinics, preschools, schools, children's homes, and community settings.

Essential Criteria

Be registered or eligible for registration as a Speech&Language Therapist with the Speech&Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.

Have the requisite knowledge and ability for proper discharge of the duties of the office, demonstrating a high standard of suitability and professional ability.

Provide proof of statutory registration on the Speech&Language Therapist Register before a contract of employment can be issued.

Maintain annual registration on the Speech&Language Therapist Register during employment.

Confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.

Be eligible to work in the state and meet the criteria for employment permits.

Possess a valid driving licence for the state and have access to own transport to deliver services across a large geographical area.

Desirable Criteria

Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.

Postgraduate experience and/or training working with children with Feeding, Eating, Drinking&Swallowing (FEDS) needs.

Experience in conducting Assessment of Need assessments.

Experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum.

Experience working with children with disabilities.
