Job Description Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain fixed and mobile machinery, including loading shovels and excavators, in a safe and efficient manner.

Load and transport raw materials such as aggregates, sand and stone within the site.

Maintain site to a high standard.

Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on fixed and mobile machinery, reporting any defects or issues.

Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Understand and be competent in emergency procedures and protocol.

Work closely with management and the site team to meet production targets.

Assist with general site duties, including stockpiling, material processing and housekeeping.

Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry best practice.

Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and other materials, digging trenches, and laying foundations.

Lay pipes and install drainage systems in accordance with plans and specifications.

Use hand tools, including shovels, picks and hammers, to complete work.

Pipework using levels, building manholes, etc.

Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

Work with other trades and team members to ensure that work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Communicate with site supervisors and project managers regarding work progress, issues and any necessary changes to plans or schedules.

Minimum 3 years experience required.
