Accountant (Manufacturing | Construction&Building Materials | Balbriggan, Dublin) An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join a well-established, market-leading manufacturing company within the construction and building materials sector.
Based fully onsite in Balbriggan, Dublin.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will suit an ambitious accountant who enjoys blending strong technical accounting capability with commercial insight. This is a hands‑on position in a dynamic, growing business where financial analysis directly supports decision‑making and overall business performance.
Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic planning
Development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
Provision of detailed financial analysis and commercial insights to support decision‑making
Acting as a finance business partner to senior leadership and board‑level stakeholders
Leading financial input into energy efficiency and quality audit processes
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, internal controls, policies, and procedures
Reviewing organisational structures and governance frameworks on a regular basis
Identifying and delivering cost‑saving initiatives through financial analysis and negotiation
Supporting external audit processes on an annual basis
Preparation and submission of grant and funding applications, including R&D tax credits and other funding claims
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA)
Minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification or relevant industry experience
Background in a medium to large accountancy practice with strong audit exposure preferred
Previous industry experience, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or project‑based environments
Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
Treasury and cash flow forecasting experience highly advantageous
Strong analytical ability with confidence interpreting both financial and operational data
