Job Description Applications are invited for the position of Health Care Assistants with Holy Family Nursing Home, Magheramore, Killimor, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The home is an established facility catering for the care and accommodation of older residents.

The main purpose of the role is to work as part of a team of Health Care Assistants, under the direction of the Nursing team, to provide quality person‑centered care that meets the needs of residents. The role supports residents in continuing to live independently with privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting the nurse with duties associated with the delivery of care, managing the unit environment, and performing other support duties. You will engage residents in a personal and individual way and encourage socialisation and participation in meaningful activities. You will promote a caring environment for residents through high standards of professional practice that are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the residents.

The successful candidates will have a genuine passion for caring and a keen interest in older adults’ care.

Qualifications and Skills Preferred: Previous experience or a relevant QQI Level 5 in Health Care Support.
