Childcare Assistant (Liscarroll Community Creche) BACP- Community Employment

Location: TEACH NA NÓIGE, Castle Heights, Liscarroll, Co. Cork, P51 TC59

Eligibility: 21+ in receipt of qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year+ or 18+ for certain disadvantaged groups; verification required by the Department.

Applicants should provide suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Job Description Duties This is a developmental opportunity; no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Day-to-day responsibility of the children in the service in conjunction with the team.

Ensure child safety at all times.

Liaise with the Room Leader and childcare team regarding work to be completed.

Communicate effectively– written&oral.

Work as part of a team.

Collaborate with other staff to ensure curriculum is carried out daily.

Provide input to the curriculum (e.g., ideas for activities).

Promote all areas of child development: physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional&social.

Carry out all work under Aistear&Siolta standards.

Follow the policies&procedures of the service at all times.
