Senior Electronics Architect / Senior Electronics Lead

We are an innovation and transformation consultancy with over 4,000 specialists. This role is based in Bray, Dublin, and is a full-time position working primarily from our offices.

Responsibilities

Lead and support projects across the full product development lifecycle, from concept electronic platforms to functioning technology demonstrators and market-ready products.

Operate in multi-functional teams, collaborating with designers and researchers to deliver new products and experiences.

Guide and mentor team members, turning inventive ideas into innovative products, and helping others follow best engineering practices.

Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, building trust through transparency, integrity, and collaboration.

Work across electronics, embedded software, and product development disciplines; engage with consumer electronics focus areas when applicable.

Ensure designs comply with regulatory standards for Consumer Electronics in the EU and US; support design-for-compliance efforts.

Translate product visions into realizable electronics architectures and communicate them to development teams.

Engage with clients to understand requirements and demonstrate progress through prototypes and trials.

Qualifications

PhD, Masters or Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or related field from a leading university.

Proven track record developing consumer-centric embedded system architectures, with hardware/software partitioning and integration challenges.

Strong concept ideation skills; ability to translate visions into electronics architectures and communicate them to teams.

Excellent understanding of embedded and battery technologies, including low-power processors, wireless SoCs, and battery management solutions.

Solid embedded software skills, including low-level C, drivers, and platform bring-up (knowledge of Nordic microcontrollers with Zephyr RTOS is an advantage).

Experience across the full product lifecycle, including transitioning designs into consumer research trials and market launch.

Ability to work across electronics, mechanical, and software boundaries and understand regulatory landscapes for EU/US products.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Location and Studio PA’s Irish studio is located in Co. Wicklow, with the Bray seafront nearby. The office is five minutes from Bray’s seafront and 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre.
