Skilled Slaughterline Operative Carlow

We are hiring a skilled Slaughterline Operative to support daily production in a busy meat processing environment based in Carlow.

The role requires previous slaughterline experience, strong knife skills, and a strong focus on safety, hygiene, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out slaughterline duties safely and efficiently. Handle livestock and carcasses in line with welfare and hygiene standards. Use knives, tools, and equipment correctly. Maintain production targets and product quality. Report faults, risks, and quality issues to the supervisor.

Skills and Experience

Previous slaughterline or meat processing experience. Good knife skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures. Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.

Physical and Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role involving standing for long periods, manual handling, and working in a chilled environment.
