Requirements
Registered General Nurse qualification. NMBI registration or eligibility for registration. BSc Nursing preferred. Minimum 1–2 years recent ICU/Critical Care experience. Experience in Surgical ICU, General ICU, or Trauma ICU preferred. Knowledge of Ventilator management, Critical care monitoring, Emergency response, Post-operative care Strong clinical assessment skills. Ability to work in fast-paced ICU environments. Good communication and teamwork abilities. ACLS/BLS certification desirable
- Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill post-surgical patients.
- Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and respiratory function.
- Care for ventilated and intubated patients.
- Administer IV medications, blood products, and emergency drugs.
- Manage patients after major surgeries
- Perform wound care, infection prevention, and pain management.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and deteriorating patients.
- Maintain accurate ICU documentation and nursing records.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, physiotherapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support and educate patients and their families.
