Gleneagle Killarney has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to join our Management Team. As one of Ireland’s most vibrant hospitality destinations, the Gleneagle Hotel operates alongside the renowned Gleneagle Arena, hosting a year-round calendar of concerts, events, and entertainment.
This is an excellent career move for a Duty Manager with strong Food & Beverage or hotel operations experience — whether from a similar role in a smaller property or from a senior supervisory/management position in a high‑volume environment. You’ll join a supportive team that offers extensive training, development, and progression opportunities.
About The Role
The RoleOperational Oversight
- Lead early and late Duty Manager shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient hotel operations
- Work closely with departmental managers to ensure all areas are open, staffed, and delivering the high standards expected by our guests
Guest Care
- Engage with guests throughout the hotel, resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain a proactive, guest‑centric approach to service and problem‑solving
Compliance & Reporting
- Conduct daily fire walks and safety checks
- Complete daily operational reports and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
Teamwork & Event Support
- Collaborate with the wider team during large-scale or complex events
- Support different departments when required to ensure seamless service delivery
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a senior supervisor or manager in Food & Beverage, or as a Duty Manager in a smaller property
- Proven experience working in high‑volume events, hospitality, or F&B operations
- A Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in hotel management, tourism, event management, or a related discipline
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with multiple stakeholders
- Adaptable, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with varied guest profiles
