Shift Type: Night Duty (12-hour shifts)

Our client supports young people to build resilience and recover from early life trauma by offering a safe, therapeutic, and non-judgemental environment, where healing is supported through consistent relationships and care.

Due to service requirements, we are currently seeking Social Care Workers for night duty to join the team in Fethard, Co. Tipperary.

The Role

As a Night Social Care Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, calm, and supportive environment during overnight hours, ensuring the wellbeing and security of young people in residential care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a safe and nurturing overnight environment for young peopleSupport emotional wellbeing through a trauma-informed and therapeutic approachCarry out night-time routines, checks, and required documentationRespond appropriately to incidents or concerns during the nightWork independently while remaining an active member of the wider care team

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a children’s residential service as a Social Care WorkerA Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant equivalentA full Irish driving licence (manual or automatic accepted)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
