The Role Our new Night Hygiene Manager will lead the overnight hygiene operation, ensuring the factory consistently meets the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and audit compliance. Working closely with Technical and Production teams, this role is central to maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully prepared manufacturing environment for each new production day. This is a hands‑on leadership role, suited to an experienced hygiene professional who enjoys driving standards, supporting teams, and improving performance within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. The position is based at our Fethard location and operates on an 8‑hour shift pattern, 5 days over 7,including potential weekend working.
Your Key Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining hygiene schedules to ensure full factory cleanliness and audit readiness
Conducting daily hygiene inspections and post‑production checks across operational areas
Ensuring all hygiene activities comply with HACCP, food safety, and company standards
Managing hygiene chemicals, consumables, and equipment to maintain safe and effective operations
Leading, coaching, and supporting the Hygiene Team to ensure procedures and SOPs are consistently followed
Coordinating team rotas, annual leave, and job rotation activities
Working closely with the Technical Hygiene Co‑ordinator and Production teams to resolve hygiene‑related concerns
Monitoring hygiene KPIs and driving continuous improvement across hygiene performance and compliance
Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring the site remains inspection‑ready at all times
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience within a hygiene supervisory or management role in food manufacturing
Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene compliance requirements
Experience leading and developing operational teams
Confidence managing hygiene schedules, audits, and compliance documentation
Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills
A proactive and collaborative approach when working with Production and Technical teams
The ability to maintain high standards within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Flexibility to support a 5 over 7 night shift operation
