We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Senior Dietitian
to join the Primary Care Team in Tallaght. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based nutritional care to adults in the community. The successful candidate will contribute to service development, provide clinical leadership, and support best practice within the Primary Care setting.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Dietitian
Provide specialist nutritional assessment and intervention for adults with a wide range of clinical needs including chronic disease management, gastrointestinal conditions, weight management, malnutrition, and complex care.
Lead on complex caseloads and support decision-making within the team.
Provide supervision and support to staff-grade dietitians and students.
Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning.
Develop and deliver group education programmes as required.
Contribute to service audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing service development.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards and professional guidelines.
Requirements for the Senior Dietitian
Recognised qualification in Dietetics.
CORU registration (mandatory).
At least
three years post-qualification experience , including significant experience in a relevant clinical area.
Demonstrated ability to manage a complex caseload and provide clinical leadership.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Desirable Experience
Experience in community or primary care settings.
Delivery of group education sessions or structured programmes.
Involvement in service development, quality improvement, or audit work.
