Software Development Manager, AWS CloudFront, Dublin Pike

Job Overview We are looking for an engineering leader for Amazon CloudFront in Dublin to innovate and solve the hardest problems in scale, security, and automation.

Responsibilities

Build and manage engineering teams to deliver high‑performance CDN services.

Own the full software development lifecycle: define, prioritize, design, build, test, and release new features.

Drive innovation in CDN security, intelligent services that analyze customer workloads, and automate resolution of customer issues.

Operate AWS business with globally distributed servers and massive scale.

Use data to make decisions and validate assumptions.

Qualifications

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.

Experience managing an engineering team and partnering with product and program management.

Strong technical depth and a focus on operational and engineering excellence.

Ability to grow teams, code, and customer outcomes rapidly.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software products, and define strategy.

Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching software engineers.
