Position Overview i3 Academy Middle School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educator to join our middle school team as a Wellness&MTSS Support Teacher for grades 6–8. This is a full-time position with responsibilities divided equally between teaching Wellness (Physical Education integrated with Health) and providing Multi -Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to students in collaboration with our instructional and support teams.

Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in Wellness aligned with state standards.

Promote physical literacy, teamwork, and personal wellness among students.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages all students to participate and grow.

Integrate strong classroom management strategies to create a structured and safe space for physical activity.

Contribute to school athletic programming through coaching and extracurricular physical activity leadership as appropriate.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement academic and behavioral interventions within the MTSS framework.

Support students through data-driven instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools.

Participate actively in MTSS meetings and student support planning sessions.

Utilize strong pedagogical knowledge to differentiate instruction and support targeted student growth.

Flexibility, empathy, and responsiveness in meeting the needs of diverse learners.

Coaching experience or a willingness to support school athletics or extracurricular wellness activities is preferred. Opportunities are available with an additional stipend pay.

Qualifications

Valid teaching license with appropriate endorsement in Physical Education and/or Health (or the ability to obtain).

Experience working in middle school settings is preferred.

Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and intervention practices is highly desirable.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
