Social Work Team Leader

on a full-time contract based in Dublin. You will be leading the Front Door team.

Role Purpose The Social Worker Team Leader will provide leadership, supervision, and support to a multidisciplinary team within the Front Door service. You will ensure the effective screening, assessment, and prioritisation of referrals, maintaining a high standard of child protection and welfare practice.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff within the Front Door service

Oversee the intake, screening, and prioritisation of referrals in line with national policies

Ensure timely decision-making regarding child protection and welfare concerns

Provide professional supervision, guidance, and performance management

Promote best practice and adherence to legislation, policy, and procedures

Essential Requirements

A recognised qualification in Social Work

Registration with CORU

Eligible to work in Ireland

Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including experience in child protection and welfare

Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and national policies

Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills

Desirable Criteria

Experience working within a Front Door / intake service

Management or leadership qualification

Experience in interagency collaboration
