RISC-V
Microcontroller Design
and
Verification Engineers
to join a high-performing engineering team in Cork, working on next-generation embedded processing solutions used in cutting-edge products worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers at varying experience levels— from recent graduates to experienced professionals — who are passionate about CPU architecture, RTL development, and verification technologies.Key Responsibilities
Design and develop microcontroller subsystem components for advanced semiconductor platforms. Create, maintain, and debug RTL designs using
SystemVerilog . Develop and execute verification plans for microcontroller subsystems. Build testbenches and verification environments using
SystemVerilog
and
UVM . Create validation tests using
C/C++
and scripting languages such as
Python
or
Perl . Perform RTL simulation, debugging, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve design issues. Work closely with architecture teams to translate technical specifications into scalable hardware solutions. Support subsystem integration into larger SoC environments. Analyse performance, power, and area efficiency improvements.Collaborate with cross-functional design, verification, and software teams throughout the development lifecycle. Contribute to automation tools and continuous improvement of engineering workflows. Requirements
MSc or equivalent degree in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering , or a related field. 0–15 years of industry experience (graduates and experienced engineers welcome). Strong knowledge of
CPU architecture
and microarchitecture concepts. Experience with RTL design or verification environments. Proficiency in
SystemVerilog . For verification roles: experience with
UVM
is highly desirable. Programming skills in
C/C++ . Scripting experience with
Python ,
Perl , or similar languages. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to collaborative engineering teams. Why Join?
