Because when Cairn build, it’s Built For Good.The Events Manager is responsible for leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of Cairn’s strategic event programme, ensuring all events deliver high‑quality experiences that reinforce the company’s brand, support business objectives and protect Cairn’s reputation. The role has end‑to‑end ownership of Tier 1 (flagship) corporate events and provides strategic oversight andsupport for selected Tier 2 events across Public Affairs, Business Development and internal stakeholder engagement. The Events Manager ensures consistent standards, strong governance, effective risk management and measurable impact across all events activity.Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a clear, prioritised events strategy aligned to Cairn’s brand, corporate affairs and business objectives. Own the annual and quarterly events calendar, ensuring appropriate pacing, alignment with business priorities and avoidance of clashes across the organisation. Translate business objectives into clear event briefs, defining purpose, audience,format, success measures and budget.Establish and embed standardised ways of working for events, including briefing, planning, delivery and debrief processes. Event Delivery&Execution
Lead the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of Tier 1 events, including corporate conferences, senior stakeholder events, internal leadership forums and major milestone events. Provide oversight and strategic support for selected Tier 2 events, particularly those relating to Public Affairs, Business Development and strategic partnerships.Manage all event logistics, including venues, suppliers, agencies, AV, staging, catering, branding, guest experience and run of show. Oversee invitations, registrations, RSVP management and on‑site delivery to ensure a seamless and professional experience for all attendees. Stakeholder&Senior Leader Engagement
Work closely with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to shape event objectives, agendas, speaker line‑ups and stakeholder mix. Act as a trusted partner to key stakeholder set on event led engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, venues, agencies and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring high delivery standards.Brand, Narrative&Experience Management
Ensure all events reflect Cairn’s brand identity, values and corporate narrative, maintaining consistency across tone, staging and content. Collaborate with Brand and Communications teams to ensure events are supported by appropriate content, messaging and communications amplification. Drive creative event concepts that enhance engagement, reinforce key messages and deliver strong owned channel content opportunities.Risk, Compliance&Governance
Ensure all events comply with health&safety requirements, GDPR obligations and corporate governance standards. Identify and manage operational, reputational and stakeholder risks, developing contingency plans as required. Apply the agreed event ownership and escalation framework, ensuring appropriate involvement of Corporate Affairs where events involve senior leadership, media or sensitive stakeholders.Measurement, Reporting&Continuous Improvement
Define and track clear KPIs for events, including attendance, engagement, stakeholder feedback, operational performance and business impact. Lead post‑event evaluation and reporting, capturing insights, lessons learned and recommendations for improvement. Establish a consistent measurement and reporting framework to demonstrate the value and impact of events activity across the organisation.The Candidate
7+ years in event management (corporate or agency). Experience in stakeholder engagement and vendor management. Knowledge of Public Affairs and Business Development desirable. Strong organisational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office and event management software. Proficiency in Dynamics 365 desirable.
