We are recruiting a

Senior Analytical Development (AD) Chemist

to join our MS&T Analytical Development team in Blanchardstown, Dublin. This is a

1-year Fixed Term Contract

role, ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in method development, validation, and analytical troubleshooting.

IPSEN Ireland is represented by a dynamic state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for our core product portfolio, located in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

Main Responsibilities

Provide analytical support to projects– develop analytical methods for raw material, intermediate, in‑process or API methods, focusing on current commercial processes or new chemical entities in transfer to commercial operations.

Ensure all analytical work is documented appropriately (laboratory notebook, memo, report).

Contribute to the identification of unknowns– for example, using LC‑MS applicable methods and LC.

Competency in HPLC (reverse phase, chiral, etc.) with UV, PDA and MS detection, GC with FID and MS detection, TLC, particle size, ICP, IR, UV, titrimetry, colorimetry.

Communicate the results of the analytical work effectively within MS&T and other functional areas.

To be considered for this role, you need a B.Sc. in Science (analytical focus) and expertise in analytical validation requirements. Relevant experience working in a GLP environment is essential.
