IT Systems Administrator– Contract (Dublin, Ireland) Hadfield Green is recruiting a senior IT Systems Administrator to serve as technical lead on a significant Cyber Security infrastructure programme within a critical, always‑on operational environment. Specialising in Microsoft technologies, this role bridges the ITOperations function and the Cyber Security Project Team — responsible for the design, planning, and delivery of security‑driven infrastructure change.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build infrastructure and security architectures that meet business objectives, regulatory expectations, and strict service‑level and availability requirements.

What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for Cyber Security infrastructure initiatives in a live 24/7 environment

Develop and implement industry best‑practice infrastructure designs ensuring scalability, resilience, and security

Manage vulnerability assessment and security patch management programmes

Implement and test high‑availability and disaster recovery strategiesProduce high‑quality documentation for internal and external audit purposes

Provide infrastructure and security performance monitoring against agreed SLAs

Resolve escalated technical issues from first and second line support

Mentor junior staff and contribute to ongoing process improvement

Skills Required

MCSA, MCP and/or CCNA certified with expert‑level Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 implementation, administration, and Windows 11 client OS skills

Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, network protocols, and concepts

Strong experience with backup solutions and principles; NetBackup knowledge an advantage

Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levels of seniority

Strong organisational, documentation, and communication skills with proven experience working under strict process control methodologies such as ITIL

Virtual platform (VMware), storage technology, and Linux (RedHat/OEL) experience desirable

Proficiency with automation tools including Python, Ansible, and REST APIs desirable
