Group Financial and Reporting Accountant Full-time
Department: Finance
About the role A role at the heart of our fast‑paced finance department with a focus on Board reporting requirements, month‑end group accounting items and technical accounting items including acquisition accounting along with statutory and group‑level compliance requirements. The role is in our Corporate team in finance, which in additionto items above, has responsibility for Audit, Financial Control, Tax, Treasury Management, and Legal Entity Reorganisations.
Standard set of monthly tasks but also frequent opportunity to get involved in projects. Version 1 is a rapidly growing technology company, with strong organic growth and growth via acquisitions. This role is suited to an ambitious and driven qualified accountant looking to progress their finance career, getting exposure to many financial aspects of a large fast‑moving multinational business.
Full time permanent role, Dublin based and hybrid working pattern.
Key responsibilities
Take responsibility for preparing sections of the monthly Board reporting pack, including financial results, key KPIs, Customer Success, and People Success.
Liaise with stakeholders outside of Finance regarding reporting information, including HR, Commercial, and Head of Real Estate.
Perform month‑end accounting for areas such as leases, intercompany, holding companies, and equity, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Handle technical accounting queries as they arise (e.g., IFRS 16 accounting for new office leases, financial statement disclosure requirements).
Prepare accounting entries for the consolidation of new acquisitions, including liaising with external advisors on Purchase Price Allocation.
Liaise with external service providers on matters such as company secretarial activities.
Support Sales and Commercial teams with financial input for bidding and tender processes.
Support the wider Corporate Finance team on ad hoc projects.
About the person
Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
Practice background with experience in audit and financial statements is desirable.
Experience working in a fast‑paced finance environment.
Logical thinker with a process‑oriented approach and strong attention to detail, particularly in data analysis.
Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a high‑growth environment.
Experience with AI tools is desirable.
Team player with a strong drive for results.
