Strategic Sourcing Lead– Global Pharma, Dublin Pike

We are looking for a high impact Strategic Sourcing Leader to join a Global Supply Chain organisation. This role is a cornerstone of the direct materials procurement strategy, specifically overseeing the Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Primary/Secondary Packaging categories. You will be tasked with transforming business requirements into resilient category strategies, leveraging market intelligence to mitigate risk, and securing high value partnerships with global CMOs.Core Responsibilities

End-to-End Category Strategy:

Architect and implement multi-year sourcing plans for API, Finished Dosage Forms, and Packaging to ensure supply continuity and cost optimisation. Technical Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and technical functions (Technical Operations, Quality, EHSS, and R&D) to ensure technical specifications align with commercial sourcing goals. Complex Contract Architecture:

Lead the negotiation and drafting of Master Services Agreements and Supply Agreements for both commercial stage products and late stage clinical pipelines. Supplier Lifecycle Management:

Oversee the data driven selection of external partners and manage the health of those relationships through standardised terms and continuous improvement frameworks. Market Dynamics:

Analyse global trends in third-party manufacturing to advise leadership on make vs. buy decisions and long-term capacity planning. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all sourcing activities strictly adhere to global pharmaceutical regulations, including GMP and relevant regional statutory requirements. Professional Requirements

Industry Tenure:

5+ years of progressive leadership within the Biopharma or Pharmaceutical sector, with specific exposure to sourcing direct manufacturing materials. Negotiation Provenance:

Extensive experience managing high stakes negotiations for complex goods/services with a track record of delivering measurable financial and operational value. Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with the production lifecycle of Drug Substances and Drug Products within a Quality Management System environment. Leadership:

Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment without direct authority. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related technical field is required; an MBA or MSc is preferred.
