Description
Our client, an alternative asset management firm that specializes in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy investments, is looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to take ownership of the daily financial management and bookkeeping function of the firms' Irish and Luxembourg Group entities.
This role involves the end-to-end bookkeeping cycle and the preparation of management accounts and tax returns. While the Finance Managers provide guidance and final review, the successful candidate will be responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all financial data.
Key responsibilities Financial management and reporting on Irish and Luxembourg legal entities
Process purchase orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation (10 / month)
Process accounts payables and receivable transactions
Manage invoices and payments for all group entities (35 / month)
Oversee sales order management and client invoicing across multiple subsidiaries
Reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
Reconcile bank statements and financial records
Assist in preparation of financial reporting and yearly budgets preparation
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Preparation of Management Accounts&Tax Returns
Preparation of Quarterly Management Accounts for review by the Finance Managers
Prepare and file periodic VAT returns, VAT RTD, and VIES returns.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to support year-end audits and internal reviews.
Office management&Administration
Ensure data integrity of the ERP database (Client and suppliers records, bank details, etc)
Handling mails and storing entity documentations in the secure cloud
Support other general finance or administrative tasks
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
5+ years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting, ideally in a multi-entity or international environment
Desirable experience with Oracle, Xero or similar ERP/accounting software
Proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with external stakeholders and internal teams
Knowledge of French is desirable but not essential
