Postdoctoral Researcher in Mapping, Assessing and Mitigating Climate and Biodiversity-Related Value Chain Risks (ID #003364)

The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the cross‑institutional project entitled “Mapping, Assessing and Mitigating Climate and Biodiversity‑Related Value Chain Risks”. The project is part of the Climate+ Biodiversity+ Water Co‑Centre and will map and evaluate risks to key sectors from environmental changes. It will identify legal, finance and policy interventions to support transformative solutions. A comprehensive cross‑jurisdictional mapping exercise of climate, invasive species and other biodiversity‑related risks will identify vulnerable links and priority risk areas in the supply chain.Mapping will encompass multiple sectors, including agrifood, energy, construction and macro‑financial sectors. The work will contribute to tailored risk mapping and dashboards, as well as a live cross‑industry risk indicator dashboard and heatmap. The Co‑Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water brings together 14 higher education and research institutions across Ireland, NorthernIreland and Great Britain, with the vision to be a home of research, innovation and policy development across the inter‑linked challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and water. The award is managed by Research Ireland, Northern Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Environment and RuralAffairs (DAERA) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), and supported via the UK’s International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) and the Irish Government’s Shared Island initiative.Salary Scale
