Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in an advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
Ability to communicate in English fluently to engage with clients in the region.
Preferred qualifications
Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling.
Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Sub‑Saharan Africa, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of medium‑sized businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and creating multi‑quarter plans for achievement.
Collaborate within the Sales and Agency and Accelerated Growth Team (AGT), aligning workflow among team members to execute on a plan and ensure accountability to meet or exceed goals while prioritizing and delivering outstanding customer experience.
Implement creative ways to improve customer relationships, tailor and share performance‑enhancing suggestions, and promote other Google products.
Identify key customer stakeholders, including C‑level and business owners, to support customer business objectives and annual digital marketing plans while assessing and solving customer needs via various techniques.
Conduct outbound calls to establish relationships and work with existing Google Ads customers to generate growth and improved customer success.
