Technical Operations Manager– Solar Power Our client, a growing renewable energy business, is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of large-scale commercial solar projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational, technical and stakeholder management experience within the energy sector. The role will deal with customer based all over Ireland but focused on Leinster and Munster.

The Role

Lead the delivery of multiple commercial solar projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.

Manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments and operational performance.

Act as the key contact for clients, contractors and senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to ensure smooth project delivery.

Oversee resource planning, cost control and contract management.

Ensure compliance with HSE standards, permits and grid connection requirements.

Monitor project KPIs and provide regular reporting on performance, cost and delivery timelines.

Drive continuous improvement and support best practice across operations.

The Candidate

Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline.

7+ years’ experience managing complex commercial or utility‑scale projects, including at least 2 years within the Solar sector.

Strong understanding of solar PV technologies, grid integration and energy markets.

Proven experience managing budgets, contractors and stakeholder relationships.

Project Management qualification would be an advantage.

Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.

Strong commercial awareness with good financial and contractual understanding.
