Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Teaching Fellow in Environmental Biology within UCD School of Biology&Environmental Science.
The School of Biology and Environmental Science seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow to support teaching in the broad area of Environmental Science and Sustainability.
The School offers a diverse portfolio of programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including BSc degrees in Cell and Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, Zoology, Environmental Biology and Genetics, and MSc degrees in Plant Biology, Applied Environmental Science, Environmental Sustainability, Global Change and Biological&Biomolecular Science (by negotiated learning). We also contribute significantly to the BSc in Sustainability and deliver modules for the School of Agriculture and Food Science and the School of Health Sciences.
Responsibilities include supporting teaching and delivering modules in undergraduate and taught graduate programmes, particularly in freshwater ecology (both theory and field skills). The role requires a passion for student engagement and teaching, and working with colleagues to design and deliver high‑quality content.
Salary€40,000 - €49,080 Per Annum
(appointment on scale in accordance with Department of Finance guidelines).
Closing date 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 04 June 2026.
