Senior Safety Specialist, Dublin Pike

A leading energy infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Health&Safety professional to support the delivery of a major capital project in Dublin. The successful candidate will work closely with project management teams, engineering specialists, and contractors to drive a strong safety culture and ensure best‑in‑class health and safety performance across all project activities.This role requires a collaborative and proactive approach, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, safety assurance, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

Partner with project management teams and contractors to ensure all safety requirements, standards, and procedures are fully implemented on site Provide expert guidance and support to project development teams on health and safety matters Conduct safety assurance audits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards, and project requirementsPromote a strong culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across project teams and contractors Lead and participate in incident, accident, and near‑miss investigations Develop and facilitate safety learning forums and workshops for both internal teams and external contractors Review contractor safety documentation, risk assessments, and procedures to ensure compliance and effectivenessKnowledge, Skills&Experience

Minimum 10 years’ Health&Safety experience within the construction industry, ideally on large‑scale infrastructure or capital projects Strong knowledge of Health&Safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills Strong leadership and influencing capability Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Experience working on utility, energy, or infrastructure projectsExperience supporting the development and construction of large‑scale generation or engineering projects Engineering or project management background Level 8 qualification in Health&Safety or equivalent
