Description
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
ACCOUNTANT (EMEA)
At SpaceX, we are leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 10M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking an accountant for our Dublin office to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the company’s general ledger for the EMEAregion.

Investigate and resolve reconciling items on time
Support the preparation of financial statements and flux analysis
Assist with external audits (PBC schedules, audit support)
Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and desktop procedures
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies (automations, system enhancements, etc.)
Work with outsourced service providers for assigned countries in the process of preparing local accounting books if required by regulation; preparing local financial statements and liaising with local auditors to close the local subsidiary audits
Support day-to-day finance operations in EMEA as required, and ad hoc finance projects as directed
Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams (operations, policy, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, finance and tax) and other stakeholders
Support new business launches, new initiatives and products and ongoing commercial operations as a specialist in areas where accounting technical advice is required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business discipline
