Business Banking Specialist Dublin and Kildare Region, Dublin Pike

Your Role Business Banking is currently seeking a Business Banking Specialist on the Dublin, Kildare Region Business Banking team. As a Business Banking Specialist on the front‑line team, you will provide support to Managers and Senior Managers for activities including lending origination, credit risk assessment, facility drawdown and portfolio management. You will meet customers along with Managers or Senior Managers and prepare credit assessment reports for submissionto underwriters. You will also research specific industry sectors and share quarterly sector reports with colleagues in Business Banking, Credit, and other business units. As a specialist in Business Banking, you will hold a junior management role that requires close cooperation with colleagues across Business Banking, Credit Risk and Retail Distribution to implement the Business Banking strategy and achieve its objectives in a manner consistent with Group Values.

Responsibilities

Support origination and management of a portfolio of Business customers.

Monitor performance metrics to ensure balanced growth of portfolio, e.g. across sectors.

Meet customers and prepare Credit applications for approval and help support fulfilment of loans and overdrafts.

Support the achievement of ambitious business targets, e.g. well managed and sustainable loan growth.

Provide excellent customer service and advise our customers throughout their product / financial needs journey.

Provide advice and day‑to‑day transactional support to our customers across a range of financial products, at all times supporting our customers to enable them to achieve their financial goals.

Provide advice to customers on products and services that meet their financial needs.

Attend customer meetings with Business Banking managers and senior managers.

Support active engagement of business owners and represent the Bank across the SME community.

Advise and support branch colleagues on Business Banking and SME related topics.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Business banking products and services.

Consistently deliver desired standards of customer service.

Respond promptly and resolve issues raised by customers and colleagues.

Maintain effective working relationships, adapting approach when necessary.

Ensure that service expectations are achieved and commitments are delivered.

Comply with relevant policies, procedures and regulations, e.g. SME Lending Regulations.

Support management in the development of business strategy on a national basis.

Support the development of relevant proposition, metrics and risk appetite proposals.

Support the development of relevant training specific to the sector.

Commit to continuous professional development.

Agree an annual development plan with line manager.

Continuously review and seek independent feedback on personal skills.

Requirements Essential

Minimum competency requirements of an APA Designation working towards QFA.

Desired

Minimum 4 years in a banking role (or comparable).

Proven track record in similar role.

Basic understanding of SME market dynamics.

Knowledge of business analysis, financial analysis and security for advances.

Passion for Business Banking and Business Customers.

Customer Service and/or relationship management support experience.

Effective presentation skills, i.e. concise analysis with clear recommendations.

Competency with regard to Microsoft Office applications, e.g. MS Word and Excel.

Business Banking product knowledge to support customer engagement.

Relevant third level qualification.

Willing to travel, as required, to support market and customer engagement.

Location National across Dublin&Kildare, North East&West and South&South East Regions of Ireland (Hybrid option available within the Republic of Ireland Only). Permanent position.
