Credit Controller, Cork

A well-established national provider of business technology solutions is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team in Cork. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining positive client relationships.The Role: This role will be responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining strong cash flow performance, and supporting the wider finance function through effective credit control procedures. Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts Proactively follow up on overdue invoices via phone and emailResolve customer account queries and payment disputes efficiently Reconcile customer statements and account balances Monitor credit limits and assess customer risk Produce aged debtor reports and support cash flow forecasting Allocate incoming payments accurately Liaise with internal departments regarding account issues and escalationsMaintain accurate records on the company ERP/accounting system Assist with month-end reporting and audit preparation where required Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures Requirements: Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role Strong communication and negotiation skillsExcellent attention to detail and organisational ability Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise workload effectively Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience working in a high-volume B2B environment Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Oracle, or similar Exposure to finance administration or broader accounts functions For more information on the role, contact Ray Brennan directly on or on 0830362091
