Echelon Data Centres was established in 2017 by the main principal of Aldgate Developments, a leading
commercial property developer and owner of major commercial office buildings in Central London and
Dublin. The objective was developing, operating, and owning a network of large-scale, responsibly
designed, sustainably powered data centre campuses across the world to meet the rapidly expanding
global demand for hyperscale data processing and storage solutions.
Echelon currently has seven data centre facilities either operational or in development across Ireland, the
United Kingdom, and Spain with a combined capacity of approximately 1.25GW. The recent acquisition of
a prime 37-acre site in Italy, marks the next step of Echelon’s expansion into Continental Europe.
We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Finance function in our South Dublin office by recruiting
an experienced Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to further
their career in a highly motivated and entrepreneurial environment. This position is initially a 12‑month
contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The Role: As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance team, ensuring day‑to‑day operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This position offers excellent exposure to a fast‑paced environment and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the Accounts Receivable masterdata.
Drafting purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of supplier details, and coordinating the internal approval workflow.
Performing weekly and month‑end bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are investigated promptly.
Processing employee expense reports.
Reconcile supplier statements and assist Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies.
Assist with banking queries and processing of new account information.
Coordinating with members of the finance team to maintain reliable and accurate underlying financial information.
Supporting the team during the annual audit.
Implementing and suggesting process improvements.
Providing ad‑hoc finance support to members of the management team as required.
Competencies, Behaviours and Qualifications:
A strong attention to detail.
IT literate with proficiency in MS Suite with Excel to intermediate level.
Self‑management skills with an ability to manage changing priorities.
Flexible, positive, and innovative approach to work.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Good team player.
Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience of Oracle NetSuite is desired but not essential.
