Description
Overview The Law Society of Ireland provides training courses for trainee solicitors as part of their pre‑qualification training (the professional practice courses). To assist with the provisions of these courses, the Law Society wishes to recruit a Course Executive.
The successful candidate will have a legal background (preferably as a practising solicitor) and an interest in education.
Main Duties&Key Responsibilities
Co-ordination and running of selected course subjects on the Professional Practice courses
The engagement of teaching teams
Organisation of course material and examinations
Organisation of extracurricular skills
Competitions and planning of syllabi
Contribute to the teaching of course subjects and to correct examination papers
Knowledge&Skills
Legal background, preferably as a practising solicitor, and an interest in education
Range of professional experience, including specialist skill and experience
Computer literacy and excellent IT skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, proactive in achieving project outcomes
Diplomatic and professional communication skills
Proactive approach with a can‑do attitude
Ability to work in a pressurised environment
Ability to work to tight deadlines
