Job Overview The Director of Cyber Defence will develop and implement a comprehensive global cyber defence strategy and oversee cyber defence programmes across a large, highly successful, fast‑growing, dynamic and complex organization.

This newly created role is perfect for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and the ability to translate sophisticated cyber risks and challenges into accessible language for stakeholders at all levels. You’ll play an essential role in supporting the organisation’s transition to the NIST CSF 2.0 industry standard, collaborating across the organisation to drive comprehensive defence maturity; including a Security Operations Centre (SOC) strategy, defining an optimal security stack inclusive of next‑generation SOC, and building enhanced collaboration across local and brand cyber defence teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead AI&Red Team work across 14 brands

Report to Group CISO on key security initiatives

Manage 15 people in a fast‑growing, high‑impact team

Develop and implement a comprehensive global cyber defence strategy and oversee cyber defence programmes across a large, highly successful, fast‑growing, dynamic and complex organization

Support the organisation’s transition to the NIST CSF 2.0 industry standard, collaborating across the organisation to drive comprehensive defence maturity, including a Security Operations Centre (SOC) strategy, defining an optimal security stack inclusive of next‑generation SOC, and building enhanced collaboration across local and brand cyber defence teams

Build and evolve next‑generation SOC capability and operating model

Engage with executive leadership, regulators and senior stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience across multiple brands and regions

Skills / Experience

Strong background in cyber security leadership at senior level (Head/Director/VP equivalent)

Deep expertise in cyber defence, SOC operations, incident response and threat management

Track record of leading globally distributed teams and driving operational maturity

Package

Up to€185,000 base salary

Hybrid working in Dublin
