We are currently seeking a highly‑motivated

Lifeguard/Pool Attendant

to join our team in Dublin South East (CHO6). Part‑time and relief opportunities are available in the Sandymount, Dublin 4 location.

Contract Type:

Permanent with relief posts considered.

Contract Hours:

Part‑time and relief hours considered.

Salary Scale:

€33,661 – €37,425 pro rata per annum (subject to Long Service Increments).

Salary adjustment:

The pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement for Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave:

30 days per annum (pro‑rated to part‑time hours).

Overview of the Post The post holder will carry out lifeguarding and associated swimming pool duties within the hydrotherapy pool at Enable Ireland. The purpose‑built, fully accessible facility supports individuals with a wide range of disabilities, featuring hoists, graduated steps and wheelchair‑friendly changing areas to ensure safe and inclusive use for all service users. The pool is used for hydrotherapy sessions led by a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists, as well as for public swims, providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes rehabilitation, wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications The successful candidate will have:

Qualified Lifeguard with a qualification obtained with Water Safety Ireland

or

an international qualification recognized by Water Safety Ireland, and a minimum of 1 year experience as a qualified Lifeguard.

Qualified first aider.

Knowledge of resuscitation including cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Experience of CPR and emergency medical procedures.

Experience teaching people with a disability to swim.

Experience working with children.

Level 1 Swim Teacher qualification.
