AI Principal Engineer– Lead, Build, Deploy

My client is an Irish B2B SaaS company working with some of the largest financial institutions in the world. They help clients through intelligent automation and AI-driven products. Now they are hiring AI Engineering Leaders to design, optimise, and roll out their next generation of applied AI products and product features.

You will join a growing international team, working closely with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Architects, Engineering Directors and Data Engineers. You will use advanced Large Language Models to build scalable, production‑ready systems that power real customer experiences.

What you will do

Identify and optimise large language models for core product use cases.

Build and deploy AI features and intelligent automation tools.

Engineer AI systems that integrate seamlessly across data and compliance platforms.

Collaborate with agile Scrum teams to deliver customer‑facing AI products.

Lead by example, mentor engineers, and drive coding excellence.

Key projects

Customer‑facing AI agents for global financial clients. (Investment banking etc.)

Secure data access and streamlining systems. (AI‑driven automation to process, secure, and optimise customer data flows, enhancing efficiency and compliance.)

What they are looking for

Must be coming from a software engineering background. A hands‑on engineer or architect is preferred. Ideally someone currently working in a scrum team.

Deep technical expertise in AI, LLMs, and MLOps.

Hands‑on engineering skills with Python, PyTorch, LangChain, and transformers.

Strong problem‑solving mindset and product focus.

Based in Ireland or within a similar time zone.
