Equity Sales Trader, Dublin Pike

A leading Irish investment firm is seeking an experienced Equity Sales Trader to join its high-touch execution desk. The team provides execution and block liquidity services, with a strong focus on high-touch (HT) and off-book/on-exchange (OBOE) trading. The role centres on delivering best execution, sourcing liquidity with minimal market impact, and building strong institutional client relationships.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth, enhancing the firm’s execution offering, and contributing to overall market share within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. This is an onsite role based in Dublin 2.

Key Responsibilities

Execute client equity orders using high-touch and low-touch strategies, sourcing liquidity and minimising market impact.

Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients through regular interaction, meetings, and travel.

Contribute to revenue generation by managing and growing a defined set of client accounts.

Provide timely market colour, news, and insights to clients to support investment decision‑making.

Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Research, ECM) to enhance the execution platform and overall client offering.

Ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and transparency.

Key Requirements

3+ years’ experience in an Institutional Equity Sales Trading or execution-focused role, with existing client relationships preferred.

Relevant regulatory qualifications (e.g. Series 7&63 or equivalent stockbroking exams such as IOB/UK regulatory certifications).

Strong understanding of equity markets, execution strategies, and the stockbroking environment.

Demonstrated ability to generate revenue, develop client relationships, and convert new business opportunities.

Proficiency in market systems such as Bloomberg, with willingness to learn additional trading and CRM platforms.
