Business Development Manager - General Insurance, Dublin Pike

A Global insurance company seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Dublin. Operating across personal lines, affinities and speciality risk products, the business has established a strong market presence through consistent growth and a customer‑focused approach. Your new role As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business revenue growth while managing and developing key relationships across insurers, MGAs, brokers and strategic partners. You will oversee the full business development lifecycle from prospecting and pipeline management through to proposal delivery, negotiation and contract close.

You will act as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring high service standards, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and improve service delivery.

In addition, you will support onboarding and implementation activity for new clients while providing commercial leadership and guidance to direct reports within the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will require a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior business development or sales leadership role within the insurance market.

A proven track record in delivering revenue growth and managing complex commercial relationships is essential.

The successful candidate will hold an APA qualification and possess a strong understanding of insurance distribution models, commercial contracting and regulatory requirements.

Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills are required, along with a commercially focused and data‑driven approach.
