Senior Financial Product Governance and Compliance Lead, Dublin Pike

We are currently partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Financial Product Governance Lead. This is a key role within the risk and compliance function, responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of product governance frameworks across the business.This position offers the opportunity to play a central role in ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening customer outcomes, and embedding best-in-class governance practices aligned with MiFID II and regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end product governance framework, ensuring robust policies, procedures, and controls are embedded across product manufacturing, distribution, and lifecycle management.Monitor and interpret regulatory developments (including MiFID II), assess impacts on the organisation, and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards. Manage the full product and service approval process, acting as a central point of coordination between business units, risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure appropriate governance and oversight.Develop and deliver product governance reporting (including KRIs and risk metrics), analyse product performance and distribution data, and proactively identify emerging risks or issues. Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and challenge to internal stakeholders while building strong relationships across business units and third-party partners.Key Requirements: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a product governance, risk, or compliance role within a MiFID-regulated investment firm or similar financial services environment. Strong understanding of MiFID II regulations, product governance frameworks, and conduct risk principles, with a proven ability to apply these in practice.Solid knowledge of financial products and their lifecycle, including manufacturing, distribution, and target market considerations. Excellent analytical capabilities with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex regulatory matters clearly to stakeholders. Proven ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and enhance product governance practices within a dynamic and regulated environment.
