Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be fully operational from 2024 onwards. Each Health Region will be tasked with population specific planning, resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision‑making in a more localised approach.Skills and attributes

The post of cANP has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery‑oriented, high‑quality, team‑based, integrated care for individuals with mental health problems. The purpose of the role is to provide assessment and support the individual through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery‑oriented interventions to work towards reduction in the need for acute hospitalisation.The main purpose of this cANP post is to: Support the development of a comprehensive CAMHS Liaison to improve services and supports for young people and their family/carer/supporers, to meet the increased demand placed on community mental health services. Support the implementation of the CAMHS Liaison service in line with best practice and the standardised operating procedure.Develop protocols to support the development of CAMHS Liaison, which ensures equity of service to all children and young people using the service. Ensure there is a responsive approach to the mental health needs of the young person experiencing a mental health crisis. Ensure good links with the Community CAMHS Teams and CAMHS Hub team.Benefits
