Speech and Language Therapist - Acute, Dublin Pike

Speech and Language Therapist– Acute Hospital Medforce are delighted to be partnering with an acute Dublin Hospital who are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist. The Therapist will be working with adults with swallowing and communication difficulties.

Duties include:

Completing bedside assessments and developing treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

Participating in professional development and continuing education activities

Identify patients needing objective assessment such as Videofluoroscopy or FEES

Working closely with other MDT members to co-ordinate referrals and allocate resources

Ensure therapy is evidence based and provided in accordance with standards of professional practice

Follow protocols and procedures for working with patients in their home

Participating in CPD, meetings and supervision, mentoring of less experienced staff

Requirements of the Senior Speech and Language Therapist A Relevant Qualification is required

CORU registration mandatory

Experience in stroke care, older persons, acute care or rehabilitation is desirable
