Plant&Garden Buyer Assistant— Sourcing&Stock, Dublin Pike

Job Purpose Support the buying team in selecting, sourcing, and purchasing plant and outdoor ranges to meet customer needs and business targets. Interest in gardening and horticulture is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in product selection, range expansion, and monitoring market trends.

Support supplier negotiations, maintain relationships, and ensure timely deliveries.

Help manage stock levels, product launches, and accurate records.

Monitor sales and stock, prepare reports, and recommend actions for underperforming products.

Mentor junior colleagues and provide administrative support.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize buying processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing, and sustainability.

Skills&Attributes

Inventory Management: Proven experience in monitoring stock levels, managing product launches, and maintaining purchase records.

Commercial Administration: Strong background in supporting buying or merchandising teams with administrative tasks, sales and stock reporting, and supplier communications.

Understanding of gardening, horticulture, and seasonal demands.

Analytical, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Results‑oriented, proactive, and professional.
