Reporting to Commercial Director/Manging Surveyor, the role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be part of the Commercial Self Build Team. There will be the opportunity to work proactively and collaboratively with other members of the Evara team as we deliver new neighbourhoods and communities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants to work on exciting residential projects and be part of the Evara’s exciting journey.Job Purpose

To be an efficient employer’s representative and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor, supporting the Commercial Director, and being an integral part of the Evara Construction team. Key Accountabilities

Ensure the accuracy and reliability of commercial information by scrutinising commercial, legal and risk aspects of projects frequently from inception to completion. Maintain database of historical cost information with deep understanding of inherent cost and value drivers. Monitor Project Budgets and cost codes while maintaining auditable reference back to project appraisal and maintaining project contingency.Procurement of all packages in line with budget. Thorough review of tenders and tender reports. Monitor and review Prelims monthly. Monitor and review Soft Costs monthly with a full reconciliation done quarterly. Monthly cost reporting done on time ensuring accurate reporting on the‘Anticipated Final Account’ (AFC).Value engineer and find savings on budgets and packages where possible. Due diligence on all new sub-contractors, and suppliers. Manage Part V agreement for your relevant site. Manage, maintain and agree the‘Joint Infrastructure Works’ (JIW) costs for your project in line with or better than the budget set out in the appraisal.Manage, maintain the maintenance and‘Taken in Charge’ costs for your project in line with or better than the budget set out in the appraisal. Administration of Sub-Contracts and ensuring all are signed and sealed before the sub-contract works start. Agreement and settling of construction disputes.Ensure we are following our contractual requirements on all aspects not just timely review of valuations, invoicing, drawdowns, payments, variations, raising PO’s, retention, assisting the bank monitor etc. Ensure payments are done on time and all sub-contractors are paid for work complete in line with the contract.Provide accurate on-site costings to Cost Planning in line with the relevant cost code or where specific information is required. Work and liaise with all relevant departments: Buying, Accounts, Sales, Legal and Development Management. Capable of interrogating programmes and analysing their logic.Qualifications And Experience

Ability to work to tight deadlines and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have at least 10 years’+ experience working in a similar type of organisation and a Chartered Quantity Surveying qualification or have started their application to Chartership. An excellent attitude to work and team player is essential.
