Clinical Psychologist– Adults The Clinical Psychologist will provide high-quality psychological assessment, intervention, consultation, and support services to adults within HSE community and primary care services in North Dublin. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence‑based psychological services to adults presenting with a broad range of mental health, emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and complex clinical needs.

I have multiple positions so can accept Staff or Senior Grade applications.

Responsibilities

Conduct specialist psychological assessments for adults presenting with a wide range of mental health, emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and neuropsychological difficulties.

Undertake cognitive, behavioural, emotional, adaptive functioning, and diagnostic assessments where appropriate.

Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans tailored to the needs of service users.

Provide individual, family, and group interventions as required.

Contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and intervention planning.

Provide consultation and psychoeducation to families, carers, and relevant professionals.

Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with HSE standards and professional guidelines.

Participate in case conferences, clinical reviews, and multidisciplinary meetings.

Manage and prioritise caseloads effectively within service demands.

Participate in clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

Contribute to service development, audit, quality improvement initiatives, and outcome measurement.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and HSE policies.

Complete clinical documentation and reports within agreed timelines.

Maintain statistics and activity data as required.

Participate in service meetings and operational planning.

Support efficient management of waiting lists and referrals.

Requirements

A Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or an equivalent recognised by the Department of Health.

A minimum of 1–2 years’ relevant post‑qualification experience working with adult populations.

Experience completing psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions within adult mental health, primary care, rehabilitation, disability, or community services.

Previous experience within HSE adult services would be beneficial.

Experience working with adults presenting with complex mental health difficulties, neurodiversity, acquired brain injury, or intellectual disability.

Training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches relevant to adult populations.

Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
