The Role

We are looking for a International Financial Accountant to join our fast-paced, high-performing international accounting team. As we continue to grow and expand globally, we understand that hiring the right people and treating them well is key to our success!

We are a multi-national company with locations in 18 countries, with each location contributing to Proofpoint’s amazing culture. 

This individual will be an integral part of the international accounting team with focus in European and LATAM countries.

Your day to day

Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and roll-forward schedulesPrepare journal entries based on review of supporting reconciliations and schedulesGeneral Ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to monthly Management reporting packages, Accounting for International Subs, Accruals, and other areasAssist in preparing monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analyses for management reportingSupport in the procure to pay processSupport in annual subs audits where applicableSupport team in finance SOX compliance activitiesAssist in process improvement projects, including coordination with cross-functional teams Deliver on any ad-hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

Qualified accountant, with a recognised accounting qualificationExperience in general accounting in industry and/or a public accounting firmExperience working with international subsidiaries is a plusDemonstrates a strong working knowledge of US GAAP a plusStrong proficiency in Excel, ability to organize and communicate effectively across various mediums with varying audiencesDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills

System ERP experience a plus, primarily D365
