Position Overview
As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will be involved in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a proficient automotive technician. Under the guidance of experienced mechanics, you will learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of vehicles. This position offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic automotive repair environment.Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development: Participate actively in training sessions and on‑the‑job learning opportunities. Acquire knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components. Understand proper usage of diagnostic tools and equipment.Familiarize with industry‑standard repair procedures and techniques. Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs. Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Observe and learn to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problemsefficiently.Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and disposing of waste. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to automotive repair activities.Learn to communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns. Assist in providing accurate estimates for repair costs and timeframes. Strive to deliver high‑quality service and exceed customer expectations. Requirements
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments. Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for operating tools and equipment. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
