Geologist / Engineering Geologist

Geologist with experience in engineering geology and/or geotechnical engineering. Position located in the Dublin office. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience and work across multiple geoscience disciplines. The role involves mentoring junior staff and requires effective communication skills. The person should be a professional, chartered geologist (PGeo) or soon to be recognised as such.About the role

Supervision of mineral resource drilling programmes and geological core logging. Planning, procurement and management of ground investigations and preparation of factual and interpretative reports. Undertaking routine quarry inspections, aggregate sampling and sample management. Generating and managing geological / geotechnical databases, petrographic analyses and preparation of technical reports.Reviewing, interpreting and reporting the results of routine aggregate analysis and preparing geological conceptual site models. The position will involve regular site work which may require travel to sites away from home for short periods. Desirable experience includes using CAD or GIS software.Requirements

BSc Geology (or related subject) and formal academic training in Earth Science. Experience of core logging and sampling. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with CAD, ArcGIS, MapInfo or QGIS. Full driving licence valid in Ireland/the EU. Benefits
