Graduate Mechanical Engineer Agri-Tech (Co. Cork) Talent Curve Recruitment is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a family-owned engineering firm in Co. Cork. Specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality equipment for the agri sector, this role offers immediate, hands-on exposure to the full product lifecyclemoving rapidly from the CAD screen to the production floor. Core Responsibilities Design&Drafting: Create and update detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for livestock equipment and agricultural systems using SolidWorks. Product Development: Support senior engineers in designing new equipment, prioritizing animal welfare, operator safety, and ease of Workshop Liaison: Collaborate closely with fabrication teams (welding, laser cutting, and galvanising) to optimise designs for manufacturability (DFM) and cost-efficiency. Documentation: Generate and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and technical user manuals. Prototyping&Testing: Assist in the physical assembly and field testing of prototypes, collecting data to refine final designs. Candidate Profile Education: Degree (Level 7 or 8) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks experience is a distinct advantage). Aptitude: A practical, hands-on background or a genuine interest in the farming/agricultural sector. Knowledge: Basic understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding practices, and materials. Logistics: Full, clean Irish driving licence (or working towards one). Compensation&Benefits Salary Range:€35,000 €40,000 per annum (Negotiable based on internship or project experience).
